Frankenstein at 200

Penn Yan Public Library

In 1818, Mary Shelley released her fabled Monster and his conflicted creator on an unsuspecting world. Two hundred years later, Frankenstein continues to fascinate, frighten, and move us. Celebrate this milestone by learning a little bit more about the novel's origins and legacy, plus a free screening of the very first film adaptation of the story, a long-lost 1910 silent classic by Thomas Edison's production company! This event is free and open to the public, and there's no registration necessary.
