Oliver House Museum, 200 Main Street
Veterans’ Day Ceremony in Penn Yan
The public is invited to attend the county wide Veterans’ Day ceremony
at the Oliver House Museum, 200 Main Street on Saturday, November 11th
at 11 a.m. Local veterans’ organizations
have invited the Reverend John Busch to speak at the ceremony. Local actor, Paul Gaston will tell the story
of Harold Johnson, first Yates County boy killed in action in WW I.
Immediately following the ceremony, the public is invited into the
Oliver House Museum to enjoy the exhibit, “Yates County in the Great War”. The exhibit commemorates the 100th
anniversary in 2017, of American involvement in WWI. Additional displays have been added during 2017.
Refreshments will be offered courtesy of the Penn Yan American Legion
