Annual Penn Yan
Art Guild Exhibit and Opening Reception

Do you know that
the Penn Yan Art Guild is 55 years old this year? Through
the years this grass roots organization has managed to
survive and grow.  The Art Guild is a place for beginning
and professional artists to come together to share
              information and hone their skills.

At monthly meetings, we often have art
demonstrations, participate in fund raisers for the
center, and encourage each other in our chosen media.
There is a group of plein air painters who regularly our
paint our beautiful area outdoors. This year, a trip to
the Fenimore Museum in Cooperstown is planned. All artists
              are welcome to join.

Once a year the
members of the Guild are invited to show their work in the
Flick Gallery at the Arts Center of Yates County.  The
opening reception for this year’s show is Friday evening,
              September 8, from

 5 – 7 PM.  Come meet the
artists.  Enjoy some fruit punch or delicious wines from
Hazlett Winery. Taste some yummy treats while you view the
latest works of Penn Yan Art Guild.  This show will
              continue through Saturday, October 7th
and will include a tribute to Charlie Northrup, a longtime
member of the Art Guild, who recently passed away.
