Ruth Law set the record for American distance flights and Katherine Stinson broke it....then broke it again. Women worked in the airplane factories of World War 1, and Helen Dutrieu scouted German movements from the air for the Belgian army. many women couldn't vote yet, but they sure could fly, and Kirk House will tell us their stories. Kirk, Director of Stueben County Historical Society, is a former director of the Curtiss Museum. Together with Charles R. Mitchell he wrote the book "Flying High: Pioneer Women in American Aviation," and will have copies available for purchase.
